"BMW R12" by Daniel Peirce

The BMW R12 is a flat-twin engine motorcycles made by BMW Motorrad from 1935 through 1942. The BMW R12 was first introduced on February 14th in 1935 at the German Automobile Exhibition held in Berlin. It was the direct successor to the BMW R11. By 1942, it is estimated that the total number of BMW R12 motorcycles manufactured was 36,000 units. Note that for military purposes, the "Einvergasermotor" as it was called was only available for the R12.
