Description

"Oleanders" by Vincent van Gogh

In this still life painting of August 1888 the flowers fill a majolica jug that the van Gogh commonly used for other still lifes made in Arles, France. On the table next to the flowers lies Émile Zola's La joie de vivre, a novel that Van Gogh had purposely placed there for color contrast and balance. Oleanders, also called neriums, are drought tolerant and typically produce a white, pink or red and grow in clusters year-round, peaking during the summer months.

All our prints are shipped in high quality aluminum frames. Our EFX watermark will not be printed on the final artwork. All of our products are printed on archival quality UV light resistant polyester.
