Antwerp’s Central Station is considered one of the most beautiful train stations in the world. The original station building was constructed between 1895 and 1905. Between 2000 and 2009 this landmark and monumental building was renovated and expanded to accommodate the high-speed rail line. More platforms were opened on two additional underground levels.
