The Brooklyn Bridge runs through the East River and connects the boroughs of Brooklyn and Manhattan. It first opened in May 1883. It's total length is 6,016 feet and designed by John Augustus Roebling. The bridge is an iconic landmark to New York. It is a hybrid cable and suspension bridge. Near the bridge Frankfort street in Manhattan and Water street in Brooklyn can be found. Other sightings from the Brooklyn Bridge include the Statue of Liberty, Pier 1, Pier 3, Pier 4, Pier 6, and the World Trade Center.
