If you’re looking for a secluded experience, Marshall’s Beach is the spot for you. Located just north of Baker Beach, this is one of our beaches near the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s incredibly photogenic, offering spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and the Marin Headlands.

It’s also hands-down one of the best beaches in San Francisco. Though you’re just minutes from the City, you’re convening with nature in the great outdoors in a national park. This is a great beach to take a break from hiking, do a little birdwatching, and explore the Serpentine rock formations and native wildflowers.

Rumor has it, some dare to go bare at the intimate Marshall’s Beach, but whatever “natural” aspects of this beach that entice you, this is one of the best places to take in a sunset over the Pacific Ocean. Just don't forget to bring extra layers – you’re at the edge of the continent…and it can get cold out there!
