The historic city and market center in the city Arras, located in France. The historic center features a Baroque town square, Arras is located in Northern France at the confluence of the Scarpe river and the Crinchon River. This city was believed to be established during the Iron Age by the Gauls. The town of Arras was originally called Nemetocenna, which is believed to have originated from the Celtic word nemeton, meaning 'sacred space'.
The tallest structure in the background is Arras Cathedral. In French: Cathédrale Notre-Dame-et-Saint-Vaast d'Arras. It is a Roman Catholic church in the city of Arras, France. The original cathedral of Arras was constructed between 1030 and 1396. It was one of the most beautiful Gothic structures in northern France, until it was destroyed in the French Revolution.
