Description
"Italy Coastal City"
Location: Manarola, Italy
A beautiful shot of the coastal city Manarola in Italy lighting up at nighttime. This is a fantastic spot to explore the four other Cinque Terre villages, that are linked by regular train service. Of the four cities, Manarola may be the oldest of them in the Cinque Terre, because the cornerstone of the San Lorenzo church is dated 1338. The name "Manarola" is most likely a dialectical evolution of the Latin, " Magna rota". In the Manarolese dialect, this was changed to "Magna roea" which means "large wheel"; A large mill wheel that could probably be seen by sailors from afar is most likely how the town got this name.
