"The Pont Du Gard Aqueduct in France"
The Pont Du gard is an ancient Roman aqueduct bridge buit in the first century AD. This bridge crosses the Gardon river near the town of Vers-Pont-du-Gard in southern France. The Pont Du Gard is the highest and best preserved aqueduct of all the Roman aqueduct bridges. The structure of this bridge contains three tiers of arches made from Shelly limestone and it's height is 160 ft high. In 1958, it was added to UNESCO's list of World Heritage sites for it's excellent preservation, historical significance and architectural design.
