Trafalgar Square is a public square in the city of Westminster in Central London. Established in the 19th century, it's name commemorates the Battle of Trafalgar, which took place on October 21st, 1805 off the coast of Cape Trafalgar. This site celebrates Britain's victory in the Napoleonic Wars against Spain and France. In addition, Trafalgar Square is used for community gatherings and political demonstrations, as well as, New Year's Eve celebrations.
