Gare de Saint-Exupéry TGV rail station tunnel, which is adjacent to the Lyon–Saint-Exupéry Airport located in France. The Train à Grande Vitesse (TGV) station was built as an addition to the airport to serve TGV trains on the LGV Rhône-Alpes, part of the main line running from Paris Gare de Lyon to Marseille Saint-Charles. It is situated about 12.5 miles (20 km) east of Lyon's city center. Saint-Exupéry station was designed by architect Santiago Calatrava and opened on July 3, 1994. The building's construction is a combination of concrete, steel, and glass.
