An interesting fact about Taiwan is that it is home to the National Palace Museum located in Taipei. This museum has a permanent collection of almost 700,000 pieces of Chinese artifacts and artworks, making it one of the largest in the world. The collection includes items spanning 8,000 years of Chinese history from the neolithic age to the modern period.
