Description

"Indian Scout" by Daniel Peirce

The Indian Scout motorcycle was built by the Indian Motorcycle Company from 1920 to 1949. The Chief and the Scout were probably the two most famous motorcycle models that Indian built. The small-displacement Scout continued until WW II which ended production of many civilian products.

The Scout was designed by Charles B. Franklin and introduced in October 1919 but called a 1920 model (like we do today with car and motorcycle models). The Scout featured a 606cc (37 cu in) side valve V-twin engine with its transmission bolted to the engine casing - the only American v-twin to use this almost maintenance-free system. The Scout's engine size was increased to 745 cc (45 cu in) in 1927.

All our prints are shipped in high quality aluminum frames. Our EFX watermark will not be printed on the final artwork. All of our products are printed on archival quality UV light resistant polyester.
