Description

"Yale Model 25" by Daniel Peirce

California Motor Company, originally founded by Roy Marks, built its first American motorcycle in 1896. In 1902 one of their 5 horse-powered bikes was ridden from San Francisco to New York! After Consolidated Manufacturing bought the company, Roy's small shop was closed and production moved to Ohio and sold the bikes under the Yale-California name. In 1906 they decided to drop the "California" from the name, believing that it would provide broader appeal.

The Model 25 twin engine was introduced in 1910. It was coonsidered a “gentleman’s” bike with its classy blue/grey and polished nickel finish. The 998cc V-twin 5hp top speed of about 56 mph (90km/h).

All our prints are shipped in high quality aluminum frames. Our EFX watermark will not be printed on the final artwork. All of our products are printed on archival quality UV light resistant polyester.
