Description

"Bridge to Aurora"

A railroad iron bridge in Talkeetna, Alaska with the Northern Lights (aka Aurora Borealis) light show in the background. Our special EFX color changing prints make this fine art print come alive.

Talkeetna is located at the confluence of three rivers, the Susitna, Chulitna and Talkeetna. "I took this cool photo back in March of 2017. I traveled up to Talkeetna, Alaska to see the Northern Lights and to my surprise this bridge ran right through the town. This bridge is used by the famous Alaskan Railroad Company. It was very cold this night, but is was also worth it." -Bryan Goff.

In the 1920s, Talkeetna was the most populous city in Alaska; The Railroad commission chose Talkeetna to be the headquarters for building the rail line between Seward and Anchorage. The bridge was completed in 1923 and existed before the Parks Highway (Alaska Route 3), which wasn't completed until 1971. This bridge spans the Talkeetna River.

All our prints are shipped in high quality aluminum frames. Our EFX watermark will not be printed on the final artwork. All of our products are printed on archival quality UV light resistant polyester.
